What's New at Bernard's
We're approaching the beautiful summertime season in Salem. The vegetation is lush from all the rain we've had, and our harbor is now full of boats in launch season. The warm weather brings more pedestrian traffic in downtown Salem, and our customers are visiting us to share family news and to show off new babies, and to see what's new in Bernard's store. Tom is always happy to swap sailing and racing stories, too.
Downtown Salem is making some welcome changes too; there will be improvements made to the pedestrian mall this year.
Our Bosom Buddy bags were first introduced last year before Mother's Day, and we sold out immediately. We've been ordering more and they're still selling as fast as we display them. These bags are handmade in Bali, and can take up to 4 weeks to make. The custom ribbon and gold adornments make them a charming statement piece. Their styles include nautical, golf, bumblebees, sea life and more.
Phil has been crafting custom jewelry, and repairing customers' treasures. And Shawn has been very busy engraving trophies and awards (for sailing and other sports/events).
